Distribution Solutions
Distribution transforms settlement agreements into money for claimants when executed properly. Our distribution solutions manage complex mechanics, including calculating individual awards across diverse matrices, coordinating qualified settlement fund administration, and engaging specialized partners in bankruptcy, probate, structured settlements, and other areas to protect claimants’ interest and ensure seamless execution.
Award Allocation
We work with you to design allocation frameworks and formulas and translate them into individual awards with precision and strategic judgment. We calculate individual awards according to criteria established by us or another third party neutral, accounting for varying injury levels, damages, and point matrices. We take into consideration multipliers for extraordinary circumstances, prorating awards when claims exceed funds, and accommodating exceptions, appeals, and special circumstances. We provide detailed allocation reports, documenting the methodology behind the calculations, and coordinate with all parties throughout distribution to ensure accurate payments.
QSF Coordination
Qualified Settlement Funds serve as the repository and administrative vehicle, holding proceeds while liens are resolved and awards are finalized. As lien resolution administrator, we coordinate with QSF trustees to ensure settlement funds flow seamlessly from resolution to distribution. Working with trusted financial institutions and/or administrators, we oversee the timing and sequencing of distributions to ensure that funds are released as lien resolution is complete and awards are calculated. We bridge the gap between lien resolution, award allocation, and final payment, which provides the coordination that connects all moving parts. Our role ensures the financial mechanics align with the settlement timeline, so proceeds reach claimants without unnecessary delays or administrative gaps.
Specialized Considerations
Many settlements involve circumstances that demand customized solutions beyond standard administration programs. We identify when specialized expertise is needed and coordinate with the right professionals to protect claimants’ interests. This includes engaging structured settlement specialists for claimants requiring long term financial security; benefit preservation experts to establish specials needs trusts that protect government assistance eligibility; and Medicare set-aside professions to satisfy CMS requirements, if necessary. We work with bankruptcy and probate specialists for creditor issues and deceased claimants’ estates. Our expertise lies in recognizing when these specialized circumstances exist, coordinating tried and true, trusted partners and ensuring these high-stake distributions receive the foresight they deserve.
